President of N-TRAK dies

The n-TRAK modular system began in the spring of 1973, the brainchild of the late Ben Davis, with a modular layout on display for the first time at the 1974 NMRA National train show.

One of the first folks to volunteer help was Jim FitzGerald who started the n-TRAK newsletter and edited it for the next 40 years, in addition to taking on the role of president of the organization.

Sadly, Jim passed away on October 24th, after a two month battle with pneumonia, at the age of 90. Jim was instrumental in promoting N scale model railroading in public, and helping encourage the setup of n-TRAK clubs worldwide.
